Outlimits tough phone

This is a truly tough phone with great features. All the claims made by the manufacturers seem to be true.The only downside I have found is the inability to import and use an SMS sound. The available ones are a bit inappropriate and quiet in a noisy environment.You can get a free second SIM from most networks - just remember to use it from time to time or it will be shut down! No fancy frills on this phone but for use in the wild it is hard to beat.

This is ITTM's (International Top Tronic Monaco) response to the growing demand for high performance, robust, go-anywhere mobile phones.The phone has IP57 Certification (waterproof to an immersion depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes) is capable of holding two SIM cards simultaneously and has an accelerometer to trigger a, 'man down', SOS dialling or SMS text function.I have owned a SONIM XP3 Enduro and the ITTM is considerably lighter but does feel far less substantial in the built-quality and materials department. The ITTM is much cheaper than the SONIM equivalent, somewhere between a third and a quarter of the cost of the XP3 Sentinel, so any comparison is relative...The ITTM has a small File Manager capacity, which may hold only a hand full of images and sounds. It must be noted that two sounds only may be used for the incoming call ring tone and the alarm clock tone. It is not possible to modify the SMS text tone and the supplied sounds are completely inappropriate and far too quiet for the presumed application environment relevant to the phone. I have always used a very loud klaxon sound for my SMS text alerts and was unable to use it with this phone. It is possible to use an animated screensaver gif and a jpeg wallpaper but files must be relatively small or the phone will not be able to use them.Five hour call time or 300 hours standby are not phenomenal statistics for battery performance and it must be noted that dual-SIM use will probably halve these values.Whilst certainly much better than the 'chocolate' i-phones and smart phones which will break if you look at them menacingly, a SONIM it is not. To be realistic, a good phone with some useful features at a budget price.

Building Surveyor by profession on building sites alot of the time. In the past many of my phones damaged when dropped on site, ie off scaffolding. Employer gave me JCB phone for work(waste of money)refused to use it after 2 weeks so unreliable. Purchased Samsung B2100 Solid Extreme,excellent phone but torch light kept coming on which drained the battery too many times.Looked at Sonim phone which a couple of colleagues use, well built but expensive and to brick like for me and way to heavy in pocket. The ITTM suits me fine, very light and good value for money, dual sim added bonus and waterproof.
