If you travel abroad and use local SIMs to reduce costs or just require to keep your business use separate from your social life or activities, a dual SIM phone is worth consideration.This is one of the best which is fairly easy to obtain in the UK. The spec is lower mid range but is more than adequate for calls, texts and viewing the 'net. If you are a gamer it is best avoided.Screen size at 4.0 is the same as many iPhones and the quality is generally OK. Reception and clarity of calls is good and the battery will last for a day with light to moderate use. The qwerty keyboard and the touch screen response work well and can be used in landscape mode. A plus for the phone is that it is obviously based on the Desire X (but not such a powerful processor)so a spare battery and/or back cover (its a little flimsy) can be found at reasonable cost. As an Android beast there is a huge selection of Apps.There is also later (November 2012) Desire SV dual SIM phone which has a dual core CPU and extra RAM. However it is very dificult to buy at reasonable cost in the UK and as the battery appears to be unique a spare seems impossible to find. It also requires two microSIMS. Its performance is slighty better than the V but I suggest it has too many disadvantages and therefore can not be recommended.HTC have just introduced the Desire 600 Dual SIM which seems to a slightly lower specification version of the new superb One. However, although their website states it will be available globally, including the EU, don't hold your breath for the UK. It also needs micro SIMs and will not be suitable for 4G.
